I work with story every day.

Hi! I'm a filmmaker based in Melbourne, Australia.

Whether it's shooting, producing, directing or editing, storytelling and creative communication is what gets me up in the morning and keeps me awake at night.

As a freelancer I shoot factual and documentary content for broadcast, and through my production company Thirdrow Films I shoot and produce content for an array of great clients. I count myself lucky to be able to combine all my skills to produce work in a medium that I love. Mostly it loves me back!

Originally from London, I've worked at major post-production houses and production companies. Over my career to date I've cut over a thousand TVCs and music videos, had a feature script green-lit for production, directed an award-winning short film, won a BAFTA award for a short screenplay, written an afternoon play for BBC Radio 4 and co-directed an SBS TV stand-up comedy series. I also edited, shot B-cam and co-produced the MIFF award-winning feature-length dance documentary Graceful Girls, and have won a couple of other awards along the way. I'm also in the Guinness Book of Records, but that's another story.

A world record

…I'm also a world record holder, as one of fifty screenwriters who contributed to the portmanteau feature film 50 Kisses. It was a crazy but brilliant competition: people voted online for the best short scripts, which were then uploaded for anyone to direct. My script Neil was the most chosen project and went on to be made into eight different versions. Such a great learning opportunity! One version was eventually chosen for the final feature, made up of films of all fifty short scripts.

The Banksy cut

In my music video editing days I was lucky enough to cut Banksy's only known music video (yes, I know what he looks like).
